Excellent program! This program embodies a heart-centered approach. Each participant is greeted with kindness, empathy, dignity, and respect. I have volunteered with FTC over several years and assert that this work provides equal value to both the participants and volunteers. Many of the participants feel that they have been thrown away and forgotten by society. It has been very affirming to see the shift in their expressions when we listen deeply to their stories and life experiences. It provides them with an opportunity to free themselves from the past, let go of self defeating judgements, take responsibility for what happened, and be free to choose, truly free to choose differently in each moment.
