Review for St Rita School for The Deaf, Cincinnati, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

St Rita's has been great for my daughter and son. They are 8 months old and are in the Loft I program. My daughter has hearing loss and wears hearing aids. She was constantly pulling the hearing aids off and was falling behind in her speech/listening skills (already at 6 months). After attending St Rita's for a month her speech therapist and aural rehabilitation therapist at Children's Hospital said she was doing great and is right where she should be for a normally developing child. She no longer pulls out her hearing aids (unless she is super tired). They are doing wonderfully and they are learning sign. Without scholarship help from St Rita's they would not be able to attend. Their help and support has been amazing. We have made the decision to stay in Cincinnati because of the school.

St Rita's also provides sign classes for those in the community. We are taking sign in preparation for our kids learning it. My daughter's hearing loss is genetic and my son may some day have hearing loss. The school is wonderful and helping us prepare
