Gifford takes in cats that other shelters have given up on--sometimes cats that are hours away from being put down--and literally saves their lives. These cats are so often simply scared and so lash out--but the patience and love of Gifford staff and volunteers time and time again turns them into adoptable, happy pets. Gifford is astonishing in the work that it does--they never give up on an animal, and each and every cat is given love and attention.
