Review for Polite And Powerful Childrensfoundation, Chicago, IL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Because I believe in this nonprofit's mission and programs, I have written grant applications for it on a pro bono basis for the past several years. I truly admire its executive director, Dr. Kyle Wade, and what she has done over the past 18 years for at-risk youth in the Chicago area. I believe so strongly in the organization that I have made donations to it for the past three years.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

reaching its goals by attending the last several donor appreciation events.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help it acquire grants to help expand its capacity and build its internal fundraising capabilities.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

he power of its mission and intention to bring good manners all of the people it touches.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

involved with its board of directors and its delivery of services to at-risk youth.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the lives of 100,000 at-risk youth, giving them some of the tools they will need to succeed in life and change the tone of civil discourse in Chicagoland, making it more polite and effective.

Ways to make it better...

I could have helped the organization develop partnerships with schools and other community-based organizations to partner with it in delivering its programs.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

both the size of Chicago's population at-risk youth, which truly needs its services, and the limited resources it has available to it to implement its great programs.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this is youth empowerment at its best!
