I was awarded the Study Abroad scholarship in 2015. Honor Society Foundation helped fund my education experience in Rome, Italy for the Spring semester. I was fully immersed in the Roman culture. I lived in a flat in the Prati neighborhood, shopped semi-daily at local grocers, markets, butchers, and stands, joined a local gym, learned "street" Italian, and studied international finance/economics.

I was fortunate to be studying finance and economics in Europe during the Greek Debt Crisis. I met with the Greek Ambassador to Italy, Italian economists, and academic leaders to discuss the Debt Crisis.

My study abroad experience shaped my education as a whole and brought in-class lessons to life. I am grateful that the Honor Society Foundation contributed to such an impactful and exciting time in my life.
