Review for Pa Boxers, Lancaster, PA, USA
DO NOT ENGAGE in business with this rescue. They claim that they are about the animals but clearly they are not because they would be doing their utmost to ensure a successful adoption process. They approved my adoption application within a matter of days which is fine however I come to find out that they didn't even bother to address anything on my application to include I never even spoke with anyone at the rescue. We went to meet the pup and drove all the way to Pennsylvania from Maryland and in that short visit of time the foster parent basically said to us, "oh I'm so happy you can take the dog with you today "which was not anticipated at all. He even indicated that it was unusual for an adopter to meet the pet outside of the rescue. When I engaged Rescue further about adoption questions I got no response either via email or via phone. They simply dumped information into an application which they have created to store the animals information. When I came to get the pup the foster parent didn't even want to give us the collar that was on him which means that for the $450 donation the rescue wasn't even providing the actual up-to-date current rabies tags and immunization tags that are required by law in most States. Immediately within the first 24 to 48 hours the dog was not housebroken as indicated and was in fact jumping over gates and getting out of his crate. My child was fearful because this dog could get through anything. When I engaged The Rescue I got no response however the foster parent said please bring him back. Once I made the journey to bring him back the rescue never responded to me. I let them know that he had been returned and inquired about a possible refund or at least a partial refund to which I still got no response. It was not until I actually filed a dispute against them that I then got a threatening email that attempted to accuse me of neglecting animal. Within less than a week of the dog coming back to the rescue they adopted the dog out to yet another family at another $450 donation. This kind of business is only interested in their own self enrichment they're not truly interested in a successful transition for these dogs. The only email I got was from a person named Chris and I did not appreciate the threatening tone and it was quite odd to me that if there was an issue that I was not made aware of it immediately upon the dog's return. No sooner am I being told this almost two weeks after the fact that the dog has been adopted out to another family. Even further, they coincidentally deleted all info within the Maddies Pet app to include my input with regards to events with the pup named Buster. Think twice about working with the PA boxer rescue or even giving donation money to them!
