Review for Faith Aloud, St. Louis, MO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I am honored to be a board member for Faith Aloud, as I was for its predecessor (Missouri Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice). Faith Aloud provides counseling services and support for women who are making difficult reproductive choices. Faith Aloud is comprised of people from all faith traditions who support reproductive choices. I have worked extensively with its executive director, the Rev. Rebecca Turner, who sensitively and passionately advocates for women.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have been a counselor and guest speaker for this organization. I have presented the Jewish views on reproductive choice to legislators, synagogue and church members, and others. People are pleased to know that many religions support women's choice.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

meeting people from different religious traditions who feel passionately about their religion and passionately about this organization and the pro-choice movement as a whole.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

truly amazing! They are passionate about the work of Faith Aloud and very knowledgeable about the pro-choice movement as well as the various religious traditions represented. I am proud to be a volunteer for this organization!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

get the message across to the entire country that we should support women who are making difficult reproductive choices and that our legislators -- both national and state -- should butt out of women's private lives.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Board Member & Counselor, guest speaker, spoke to legislators.
