Review for Youth Science Center, Hacienda Heights, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I worked with Youth Science Center for a total of 13 years so far. It has been the best experience ever for a me as a teacher and a parent. I love teaching science and math classes with hands on experiences like building solar ovens, etc. My son also loved the classes he enrolled in when he was younger, he is now 19 years old and in college.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Each year I evaluate data from the student tests given in every class and each child has improved his or her understanding of science and math as determined by pre-tests and post-tests.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not change anything because it is a perfectly run organization.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

how happy the children are to be in the classes doing the activities.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

wonderful. They were very helpful and kind to everyone.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build a new structure because it needs a permanent structure.

Ways to make it better...

Nothing. It was even better than expected.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding! It needs more funds to offer even more classes.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Youth Science Center has been an asset to the community for many years. Many of their former students are in college and giving back to the community by volunteering.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
