Review for Youth Science Center, Hacienda Heights, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

25 years ago, some friends and I started an offshoot to YSC Fullerton. As a Science teacher and friend, I hope I have contributed as much as the YSC has helped me grow.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

watching the community around us accept us as helpful to their children's understanding of the world...and watching their children grow, still a part of us

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

have a permanent hands-on multi-use museum and activity center where the seniors of the community would be a welcome asset to the center.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

watching children get the "aha!" look.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

first class

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

make a considerable contribution to the children in our area, so much so, that I believe that our San Gabriel, Ca., area would be a magnet for many other centers to grow from.

Ways to make it better...

I stayed consistently on board.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the US economy, the people who profess math and science important, but do not contribute, the fragility of our center.

One thing I'd also say is that...

it's been a pleasure and honor to work with the point people in this center. Each of them need to be treasured.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
