I am thrilled to be a new Board Member for ACE; an outstanding people-centered organization with community outreach and education at the heart of all of the services that it provides. It is not just a "good thing" to have this Organization ever-expanding in Worcester, but rather it is a necessity -as the first and only of its kind serving African refugee and immigrant youth and their families. ACE's Executive Director, Kaska Yawo, the original thought leader behind ACE, is the best kind of leader; he is committed to serving others, and action-oriented. Selfless leaders are hard to come by. Where would so many youth from the next generation be without ACE? How would their outlooks, experiences, and pathways look different without the support of ACE? I am honored to sit on the Board of Directors of ACE, where everyone connected has the intention of making a difference in the lives of individuals and families, and the livelihood of our shared communities.
