I gave been helping out at David's Place at Carpenter's Shelter for about nine years. David's Place, open six mornings a week, provides a safe place for its clients to shower, wash clothes, use the phone and computer, and receive mail. Clients can also receive referrals to other resources. This is an invaluable resource for homeless individuals who are unable to fit into the structure of the residential shelter. It is a great and interesting place to volunteer.
