Review for Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse, Stone Mtn, GA, USA
It has been my privilege to volunteer in a variety of ways at Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse. The members are happy individuals who thrive in this most respectful, interesting, and uplifting environment. The staff is unfailingly dedicated. The members learn and grow in ways that are difficult to adequately describe. I can think of no other setting more positive or deserving of one's support than Side by Side Brain Injury Clubhouse!
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing members who have become employed again, made friends, developed increased self-confidence, and learned to self-advocate.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
it would be that more people learn about the need and the important work done there.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
getting to know the members who are being served and the devoted staff.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
dedicated, caring, and well-trained.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
grow and serve the ever-increasing number of people with traumatic and acquired brain injury in a setting following hospitalization. If memory serves correctly, the number with brain injury is greater than those with HIV-Aids and Breast Cancer combined!
Ways to make it better...
I had more time in which to volunteer there.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
money and money.
One thing I'd also say is that...
this is a unique setting that fills a need within the brain-injured population as does no other!
