Review for Champs Help Association Inc, Palm Coast, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Champs Help Association is a regestered charity which really means non profit. Started by an 18 year old high schooler, Amanda Mazzie, Amanda's life was affected by the death of some people she knew, who were killed in a Tornado in Lake Mary Fl. in 2007. Champs exists, to accept donations to fund the need for EMERGENCY ALERT RADIO's in every home in the US, but especialy in Florida and Central Florida, which is the Tornado Alley of the east. Hurricanes are significant events but it is typically the tornadoes spawned within them that cause the argest damage and the most loss of life. Champs spends no money on Administrative Salaries, or even vehicle expenses at this time. Everyone involved is a true volunteer and the money raised goes directly into accounts to purchase additional Weather Alert Radio's. Visit them on Facebook, or send them a note. They are open and avaible for any questions at anytime!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Watching the relief from knowing that families are protected to at least get the warnings of danger in their area even if the power or the TV are out. THe radios are battery operated and Wall powered so they should work for several days without power

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Make it the biggest it can be and take the program national. for $30.00 retail a house the safety and potential save lives is priceless at an affordable cost

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Knowing that there is nothing more worthwhile than time, and that I actually can make a difference in making other peoples lives better.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Come see for yourself. I'll promise it will be worth the time.

Ways to make it better...

I am at loss at what to say here... If it was bigger and could do more for more people?

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Growing and not losing that home feel that it has now. I think Amanda is wonderfull and talented, surrounded by a huge and supporting family and community friendship..Just ask around about our Queen of Queens

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
