I am SO incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a woman in this year's Anchor Program (2018).
Veteran's PATH gave me useful tools for self-care and healing; meditation (both walking and sitting), art therapy, nature experiences and sensory awareness activities. Participating with other Veteran Females was incredible because I felt completely understood like never before! I also enjoyed the platform of Schoology which was a way of organizing ourselves in between sessions, and our practices. Our private group on this platform could all talk to each other via a discussion board. It was another modality of connection and support.
I have an amazing network and community of wonderful women who I call sisters. I know we will be good support and friends forever. We have agreed to keep in touch via Social Media, planned activities and trips and Veteran's PATH One-Day events.
I am so incredibly grateful and would recommend this program to any veteran who needs support. I learned to cultivate peace, grace and self-compassion through The Anchor Program. What a priceless gift. Thank you for allowing me to participate.
