Review for The Feline Rescue Association, Inc., Owings Mills, MD, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Not only great support for fosters and adopters, but for the community at large. They feed and vet ferals/strays in a low income community. They take in the “too sweet for the street” and find them homes. They help with spay/neuter, vetting and food to those who seek help. An all around great rescue with great people!

Review for The Feline Rescue Association, Inc., Owings Mills, MD, USA

I followed the Feline Rescue Association for several years before I became a volunteer. I was involved with another rescue but always loved the work FRA was doing. Since becoming a foster volunteer for them I am truly amazed at the work they do. I’ve seen them take on the cases that no one else wants. I’ve seen them put their heart and soul into cats that should have died, but survived and thrived due to their efforts. It is an AMAZING team of people. I say team because that’s truly what they are. I have never, from day one, felt I was on my own. They have helped and guided me every step of the way. Even though I am a very experienced foster, with my previous rescue, I still learn something new from them every day. One day a post went out from a local shelter for Nestle. He is 7 years old and deaf. He was raised for 7 years by the same family and then dumped at the shelter. He was scared and they knew this would probably not be an easy placement. But when I asked if FRA would take him on, if I fostered, they didn’t hesitate. He had to be force fed for two weeks due to his depression at losing his family. He is now thriving and feeling safe in our home. He most certainly would have let his depression take him over if he didn’t get out of that shelter. FRA is amazing and I can’t recommend them enough.
