Cj acres is EXCELLENT. I really wanted to have hands-on involvement in helping farm animals and I finally found the perfect rescue that aligns with my own beliefs. From the first meeting I had with Lee and the other volunteers, I felt very welcomed and appreciated. Lee took the time to introduce each special resident to us, giving us the history of the farm and the backstories of each resident. Anyone who listens will feel grateful that there are still "humane" beings in the world like Lee and his volunteers. After seeing a few of the negative reviews, I cannot help but feel disappointed in them. I did not grow up on a farm, but I can even say with certainty that some of the statements spewed by the negative reviewers are not realistic. For example, a reviewer claimed to see a few open sores on a few of the pigs. Well to that I say......DUH! OF COURSE YOU MIGHT SEE THAT ON A FARM! If you actually spent more than a day at the farm, you would see that there are lots of horseflies and other insects buzzing around and nipping any chance they get (yes, even nipping at humans) because after all, that's what they do. To the people who were in unfortunate situations and had to give up their beloved animals, I am sorry for your loss, but please don't blame Lee when your expected outcome wasn't met. You VOLUNTARILY gave the sanctuary your pet in hopes of a better life with the unrealistic dream of your pet immediately loving their new home and getting along with the other residents. This is not realistic! You should've thought about the scenario of your pet possibly running away from a foreign environment.

The lesson here is: please don't jump to the worse conclusion possible and accidentally spread ignorance.
