They support effective environmental policies that conserve resources and dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, litter, and marine debris. CRI daylights data gaps and testifies at legislative hearings and policy meetings nationally to counter dishonest environmental — in particular packaging lobbiests — who claim that recycling programs are too costly or don’t work well.
