Review for Northwest Animal Companions Inc, Garden City, ID, USA

Rating: 1 stars

This organization used to be fantastic. In recent years, particularly the last year and a half it has taken a nose dive. Many long term volunteers have left. There have been reports of the Executive Director and staff being visible drunk at events. I would do a very in depth inquiry into their finances and debts before donating any money to this cause. There seems to be significant mismanagement in this area. As far as donating time, if you want to be treated with respect and as a valuable resource do not look at giving time to this organization

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Spay and neuter program, adoptions, events and management.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Scrap the whole thing and start over.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

great in the beginning, very dedicated to doing the right thing for the animals. Toward the end of my experience the staff were egomaniacs, manipulative and did a enormous amount of trash talking about the people involved in the organization.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

easily waste it away and contribute nothing to the community.

Ways to make it better...

the organization had true professional staff that were dedicated to the mission instead of their own advancement and egos.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...

I know I sound harsh but I have 8 years experience with the organization. The downward slide has been appalling and heartbreaking. Please look farther than the appealing soundbites and charisma of the e.d. before getting involved in this organization.
