Review for Humanity For Children, Columbia, MO, USA
My name is Delaney Loprieno. I am a Women's Soccer Player at Northern Illinois University. Some of the players on our team along with the men's team, have been working with Humanity for Children (HFC) since August 2017. We are part of a group that HFC has just started to use soccer as a way to help keep the children of Rwanda in school. We collected large amounts of gear, sent videos and created a plan to use the sport that we love to give hope and determination to these young children. This past May (2018) we got the opportunity to travel with Bob to Rwanda and meet the children we had been working with. We taught soccer clinics and visited many schools in the different villages spreading joy and sharing our love for soccer. On this trip we also learned about the history of Rwanda and their culture. The trip was an incredible/ eye opening experience that I will take with me forever. Bob has such great relationships with the Rwandan men and women that we visited. Humanity for Children is helping and supporting so many local businesses to help the lifestyle in these villages. Bob and HFC make it very clear that the money and items that they give to these people is used for good and to better the lives of as many people as possible. It was very clear that the work Humanity for Children does has made an impact on these people and I am grateful to be apart of it and cannot wait to see what other experiences I can have with this organization.
Thanks Humanity for Children!
