Review for Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., Palmetto, FL, USA
I have been legally blind since age 12with, but my condition was not very aggressive until about 15years ago when I had to make the realization that I was not going to see anything but light and dark. I am not a depressed person, but it was a difficult time in my life, I really thought that the doctor’s may not fully know how blind I would really be .At age 67 my wife suggested That I look into getting a guide dog so when we called Southeastern Guide Dog in Florida the ball started rolling for me to get a dog. First the staff I cannot say enough about them they are totally committed to providing a professionally trained guide dog at no cost to each student, also the accommodations and food were excellent. My guide (Patience) has opened up travel to me in a way not possible before, she has enriched my wife and my life, she is my best and most loyal animal I have ever had, I cannot Thank Southeastern Guide Dog enough. Ithas to be one of the most rewarding jobs to have.
