Review for Airlift Research Foundation, Mckees Rocks, PA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I learned about Airlift Research Foundation through my father. He spoke highly of Airlift and of the people representing the organization. He thought their work would interest me, so I decided to look into the Foundation. I was extremely impressed with their work and dedication to the mission statement. The Airlift Research Foundation funds research that addresses the protection of limbs, the treatment of traumatic orthopaedic injuries in the field, rehabilitation and quality of life research- research that will have immediate benefits for the military and future benefits for civilian populations affected by war, violence, natural disasters, and traumatic accidents. I wanted to learn more about how non-profits work and thought Airlift would be a great opportunity. I submitted my resuma and got accepted for a summer internship. I packed my bags and moved from Rhode Island to Pittsburgh for the summer. Although it was scary at first, I felt welcome from the moment I step foot into the Airlift office. Everyone at Airlift is extremely committed to the mission and deserves all the praise they receive for their hard work. Airlift works hard to make the lives of trauma victims a little easier. In the future I know Airlift will continue to grow and raise awareness and help for men and women who serve are nation as well as civilians. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to assist in anyway that I can this summer. I am honored to be a part of a group that is accomplishing something so important and it is a privilege to be able to see the work being accomplished.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing how passionate everyone is about the mission here, and personally witnessing them fundraise and help the lives of countless people by raising awareness and improving the care of traumatic extremity injuries.
