Review for National Humane Education Society, Charles Town, WV, USA
This happened some years ago when I was still working (am retired). I worked at a chicken processing and an accumulation of fera was there. I tried to feed them and there was plenty of chicken they could get. Tnen the manager said the cats had to go because one had gotten into a delivery truck and if it had gotten to the vendor the whole truck would have to be condemned and the company couldn't have that happen.
I had been contributing to NHES for some time and in desperation I called and lo and behold Mrs. Briggs answered herself and said they would help. Her son-in-law called me the next day and saaid he was coming to help me relocate the cats. He did so, left me some money for food and some traps to catch the ones we hadn't caught and the means to return the traps when we were finished relocating the cats.
It turns out he had a history of our location and did some visiting whlle he was here. We are a very small community in a little known part of Virginia and the coincidence that everything worked out is an act of God and NHES.
I an eternally gratefull and believe in all the good works this organization does.
Thank you NHES,
