Review for BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT, Valley Village, CA, USA
I found Rescue + Freedom Project in 2012 (as Beagle Freedom Project) when I was considering adopting a Beagle. While watching the video of a former laboratory beagle taking his first steps onto the grass, I quickly decided that this is a charity that I wanted to support. It was within those first few minutes that I made my first donation.
I was immediately taken in by the dedication and perseverance of the staff. I had always known about animal testing - at least in the back of my mind. It wasn’t until I read about the mission of this organization that realized how prevalent animal testing continues to be. I began the switch to cruelty free products which became much easier with the Cruelty Cutter app. The first walk around the house scanning products was eye opening. Most of the major brands that I had been using continue to use animal testing.
I have also supported the related charity ARME. Now that ARME and Beagle Freedom Project have merged into Rescue + Freedom Project, I can make my donations to one place and the money can be used how it is needed. I shop through Amazon Smile and a percentage of my purchases goes to support Rescue + Freedom Project (as ARME.) How great is that!
For several years we had been hoping to be involved in a rescue. Our wish finally came true and we are now the proud adoptive parents of a beautiful 4 year old girl, Molly. She is sweet & loving and every day is a joy with her. I must thank R+FP for the work that they do. I cannot imagine what would have happened to our little sweetheart without them.
The staff members are expert at helping new families through the fostering & adoption process. We received amazing support all along the way and we are now part of a new family of Adopters & Fosters.
The animals rescued from lives in laboratory cages, have provided a painful & frightening service to companies that the public supports. We owe it to them to support R+FP and rescue as many of them as possible so that they can become the treasured family pets that they were meant to be.
