My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Sale Ranch Sanctuary, Temecula, CA, USA
This is a lovely, peaceful place. I love visiting knowing the animals will live out their lives being loved and cared for the the Sales and their volunteers.
Review for BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT, Valley Village, CA, USA
My husband and I first became aware of Rescue + Freedom Project in about 2011. We had a greyhound at the time, but my husband and I agreed, the next time we were looking to add to our family, we would contact what was then known as Beagle Freedom Project. Our greyhound passed away in 2012, and when we felt we were ready, we contacted BFP.
While we were waiting to adopt a BFP-rescued dog, we adopted a dog a friend had rescued from an abusive living situation.
Fast forward to 2015. After waiting several months our patience was rewarded! In June we got to pick up Yori, who had been flown in from Korea. He and Scrappy, our other dog got along great, like they were brothers. Although only about 1/3 Yori's size, Scrappy acted as a mentor to Yori, and showed him how to be a dog's dog.
In 2016, Scrappy passed, so it was time to get Yori a companion so he could "pay it forward," and show another lab-rescued dog how to be a dog. We let BFP know, and, before long, we got the call asking if we were ready to take a rescue from China. Of course, we said yes, and added Sato to our family.
I can't express enough good about Rescue + Freedom Project. I truly respect Shannon Keith's vision and refusal to give up or say no when any kind of animal needs help The staff's tireless efforts and infinite patience make them a joy to work with. I know this is tough work, but everyone at R+FP has always been exemplary. Staff members even kept in touch with us while we were waiting to adopt.
I appreciate the professionalism of the staff and their attention to detail for the animals and those who step up to adopt, as well as to foster. This is just a wonderful organization!
