Review for Pivotal (formerly Silicon Valley Children's Fund and TeenForce), San Jose, CA, USA
Silicon Valley Children's Fund is doing amazing work to keep youth in foster care on track for success in learning and life. Through the use of education champions the youth they support have a significantly greater chance of completing high school and moving on to college. We are proud to work in partnership with SVCF to improve children's lives.
Review for Santa Clara Family Health Plan, Campbell, CA, USA
Santa Clara Family Health Plan does an amazing job of getting and keeping children insured in Santa Clara County. SCFHP insures the low-income children in our community through Healthy Families, Medi-Cal and Healthy Kids, a locally funded health insurance product unique in Santa Clara County. SCFHP was instrumental in the public-private partnership that created Healthy Kids. Healthy Kids is designed to provide comprehensive health insurance for those who do not qualify for existing programs and are financially unable to purchase coverage. Data shows that Healthy Kids and the other health insurance products offered by SCFHP have improved child outcomes such as school attendance and have decreased parents' worry about what they will do if their chid becomes ill. SCFHP has brought fantastic results for children in Santa Clara County.
