Review for American Foundation For Relief And Reconciliation In The Middle East, Santa Cruz, CA, USA
I have long admired the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East, of which I first became aware while I was working in Baghdad, when FRRME America was under the extraordinary leadership of the Reverend Canon Dr. Andrew White, founding chairperson of FRRME America.
Canon White and FRRME America were working so very effectively to meet the spiritual--and temporal needs of many in Iraq, regardless of spiritual orientation.
St. George's Church in Baghdad was home to the largest assemblage of Christians in Iraq and adjoined a medical and dental clinic, offering free healthcare to many, Iraqis, regardless of religious orientation.
More recently, FRRME America has focused on meeting basic living needs, including housing, nutritional assistance, and education for many refugees. FRRME America's contributions are, and have long been, essential for many.
The work of FRRME America has been exceptionally important for the promotion of peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.
FRRME America needs and deserves our prayerful and tangible support.
