Review for Modest Needs Foundation, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a regular contributor to Modest Needs, I am very impressed with their mission. By allowing the donors to determine how they would like the donation applied-and by applying 100% of the funds received to the people in need-Modest Needs is unlike ay other charity I contribute to. The core belief that small donations can make a big difference is proven on a day-to-day basis. The small donations fund unexpected expenses that could cause another person/family to fall into the poverty cycle. I have also been consistently impressed with the staff at Modest Needs, and their work in determining eligibility.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Allowing the donor to determine whether they would like to 'choose' the recipient of the funds, or whether they would like Modest Needs to apply their donation as they see fit.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Find additional ways to share the impact that the contributions are making. Perhaps more statistics/stories regarding the donations and their long-term impact.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The fact tha the consistently communicate with their donors regarding the organizational acheivements as well as challenges.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Every staff member I have been in touch with has been courteous, and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Stop the poverty cycle...one person or family at a time...

Ways to make it better...

I have always been pleased with my experiences with Modest Needs.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The current economy-the needs increase while the donations possibly decrease.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
