Review for Labrador Rescuers, San Diego, CA, USA
We have adopted two Labradors from Labrador Rescuers. We had a Labrador who didn't particularly enjoy being left alone after our older dog passed away. I had several friends who adopted dogs from Lab Rescuers, and so we came to Lab Rescuers in search of a companion that would be a good fit for our dog and for our family. We completed the application, and were promptly contacted by a volunteer who had reviewed our application and came to our home to meet us and our dog. She listened to our wants and needs and suggested a dog for us that we hadn't considered. He came to our house to meet us and our dog. Everyone really liked him, but we just weren't sure, so we met a few more dogs. We met some at our home and some at events. Our volunteer was really patient with us. We finally did adopt our Rudy, who was the first dog we met. Our volunteer is a great match maker. Prior to adopting him, Rudy had had several orthopedic issues for which Lab Rescuers funded the surgery and loving foster families assisted him through a several months long recovery. We will always be grateful for the work and funding provided by Lab Rescuers to save the dog that we now love so much. Rudy is as good as new and is a very special boy. We can't imagine our lives without him.
A few years later, we decided that we would like to adopt a senior dog. We filled out another application and contacted the volunteer who helped us to find Rudy since she is familiar with our family, our dog, and our needs. We told her the dogs we were interested in and she suggested a particular dog. We met him and loved him immediately. We brought him home that day. He has been part of our family for a week now. He is literally the sweetest dog. Our other two dogs accepted him into the pack. We can't thank Lab Rescuers enough for helping to save and helping to find our two sweet boys.
