Review for Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue, , CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I will never forget my experiences nursing a baby dear at Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue. The magnitude of the work they do and the compassionate attention they bring to their mission is incomparable. We forget how much joy the wildlife in our community brings us. Yggdrasil is the best, and sometimes only, caretaker of helpless injured animals and orphaned babies at risk of losing their lives. I urge everyone to reach into their wallet and contribute what they can to enable Yggdrasil to continue their important work.

YUWR does great work saving the lives of wildlife among us. Many people are probably unaware of the fact that although we live in a highly urbanized area we nevertheless share this with all kinds of wildlife. YUWR helps save the lives of this wildlife. I consider their work to be humane to the utmost in our environment.

I've been a volunteer at the Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue charity for over four years It has been an educational and rewarding experience for me. I highly recommend that others volunteer or donate to the organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Yggdrasil has saved countless lives of injured and orphaned wildlife. I have seen this and grown to appreciate the need for this kind of care-giving.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help in ways that would expand the facilities for Yggdrasil. More money for larger hospitals and more land upon which animals can be re-acclimated to their natural habitats in the Bay Area.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

My personal growth as a person, especially my decation and my sympathy and help for injured and homeless wildlife.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very kind and cooperative. They come from all ages and we share an empathy for the mission we all share.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Buy a much bigger hospital with more people specificall trained in the care 0f injured wildlife. More land on which to build re-acclimation facilities. More community outreach. Expanded seminars and classes for school children.

Ways to make it better...

The facilities weren't so crowded. The intake of animals is overwhelming and require a great deal of attention.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Growth. More volunteers are always welcome but a bigger revue source from donations and grants would greatly help to acquire better facilities.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Yggdrasil has been a life-changing experience for me. I believe it will be for others, too. They're in dire need of funds to continue their mission. Yggdrasil is a Bay Area wildlife resuce organization unlike any other.
