Review for Parrot Outreach Society, Punta Gorda, FL, USA
Parrot Outreach Society is an incredible organization. We adopted Willow almost two years ago after our sun conure passed away. We raised a scarlet macaw from a chick and he bonded to me long ago. We wanted a parrot that would be my wife's bird and would keep the scarlet company while we were at work. After interacting with most of the birds, Willow picked my wife. The adoption process is rather involved, as it should be to discourage impulse adopters. We drove to Punta Gorda from Tampa on three separate occasions to spend time with Willow and a representative of the society inspected our home to ensure that we were capable of caring for another macaw. Willow (we call him Willy) has adjusted amazingly well to his new home and is a very happy bird.
