My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for RAPTOR Inc., Milford, OH, USA
Raptor, as a nonprofit organization, has a strategic plan of conservation, rehabilitation, education, and community service. To accomplish these goals, Raptor relies on its group of dedicated volunteers & staff for the various tasks necessary to meet these goals. For over 30 years, in the southern Ohio & northern Kentucky area, the rehabilitators have cared for injured raptors with the primary goal of releasing the raptor back into its natural habitat. Often times, this may require a late evening visit to the facility to assess an injured raptor and this is done without hesitation. Funded by donations and public educational programs, the board does an excellent job of being good stewards of these resources. The organization provides initial and recurrent training for the volunteers who offer their services in transport, rehabilitation, program demonstrations, and scientific studies. Raptor also accepts and evaluates new ideas from its members and volunteers for the continued growth of RaptorInc. In my 3 years as a volunteer & a year as a board member, I have witnessed continued growth of the organization and its services to the community. It is truly a pleasure to be apart of Raptor and I am looking forward to its continued growth and success.
