I've had a length of experiences with Dragonfly over the past few years. Initially I participated in a couple Greek Life philanthropies where the proceeds went to the Dragonfly Foundation. My girlfriend ended up working full-time with Dragonfly post-grad, and I've subsequently volunteered within the organization since. Dragonfly is the textbook definition of a model nonprofit organization. Every day, they go above and beyond to ensure that no child with cancer feels like less of person because of their condition, and they do their best to make children and their families cope and forget about the situation, and just experience being a kid. Not only are there endless opportunities for the "dragonflies" to see sporting events, get out and enjoy life, but there are a multitude of resources available for parents and the rest of the family. No parent is an "expert" on having a child with cancer, and many don't know where to look for help--Dragonfly provides the help they need.
