Review for Wild Love Preserve, Kingston, WA, USA
I had the pleasure of meeting Andrea Maki, president and founder of WLP, while conducting a verification survey for the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries of this very unique concept of allowing wild horses to remain in their respective herds, roam free over several hundred acres, and engage in all of their natural behaviors without adding to the wild horse population. Touring the sanctuary, it was clear that the horses were healthy and very relaxed, herds separate but also mingling together in a peaceful environment that is safe. Watching them play together or just hanging out in groups was such a calming experience! These horses are from Idaho's wild herds and it was a privilege to see these majestic animals in person and roaming free, a symbol of the wild that so few people are ever able to see and experience.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Let donors know Andrea is raising money to purchase a ranch where these horses will have a forever home and others from the local Idaho herds will join them if needed.
