My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Educate Tanzania, Saint Paul, MN, USA
ETI is doing profoundly meaningful work by partnering with the local community in Karagwe, Tanzania to provide the education and educational resources necessary that will help the local farming communities provide for themselves a sustainable and environmentally-responsible economy. ETI's leadership, selfless dedication, and ability to attract partnerships with the best and most appropriate professionals and volunteers helps define them as a 5-star nonprofit organization.
It is truly amazing to see how thoughtfully and quickly Jan Bergquist Hansen has made KARUCO a reality with her ETI organization. I was at the KARUCO site in Karagwe, Tanzania 6 1/2 years ago when there were no buildings and many questions to be answered - and now the grand opening is less than three months away! Campus buildings - including Vision Library with 18,000 books (so far), water harvest and storage systems, electricity, a well, housing, curriculum, technology and more, are all in place and ready to welcome the first students this fall. Hongera KARUCO!
