Review for Survivors of Violent Loss Program, San Diego, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I recommend Survivors of Violent Loss Program to anyone who has suffered a traumatic loss due to homicide, suicide or some other unexpected and violant cause of death. The people involved are dedicated to helping others develop coping strategies for living with the loss of loved ones. I cannot commend this organization too highly.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

SVLP helped me deal effectively with grief and the grieving process after my parents were murdered. I have participated in the group counseling program and individual counseling program, and I have attended several of the organization’s community events.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

increase its staff and community involvement.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the help I received in dealing effectively with grief and the grieving process after my parents were murdered.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

kind, compassionate, sincere and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help many more survivors of violent loss deal with their grief and fund scientific research in this area of psychotherapy.

Ways to make it better...

the facility had been better.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

One thing I'd also say is that...

The organization is a great nonprofit!
