Review for Hearing Health Foundation, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Since its inception in 1958, the Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) has awarded more than 2,000 grants to support hearing and balance research. This research has led to discoveries, new technologies, and dramatic innovations that increase options for those living with hearing loss, as well as protecting those at risk. Its program to support seed-funding to new investigators is one of the few sources of funds to help emerging scientists establish their laboratories. With the potential for hearing restoration through regeneration biology, the scope of HHF research has expanded enormously through its Hearing Restoration Project. The third pillar program of the HHF is its Hearing Health Magazine, which consistently delivers excellent science journalism about hearing loss and tinnitus. The research articles provide the latest information from laboratories and clinics around the world, accompanied by human interest stories and news of interest to all readers, in print and online format. For all these reasons, the Hearing Health Foundation is a "great nonprofit!"
