My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Brittany's Hope, Elizabethtown, PA, USA
Review from a graduate recipient from the program.
Ten years from today, I was an orphan myself and of course I still am in some ways but now I have a second place to call home and people that I call Mom and Dad from Brittany's Hope Foundation. The day I met wonderful people from Brittany's Hope Foundation on their service trip in Viet Nam (2007) was the day that has changed my entire life even though I did not know what was coming for me. I became a recipient of Brittany's Hope Foundation where I was sponsored for my education and as well as my living expenses. Growing up in a small remote village, going to school was a dream as many young kids dreamed about. I was one of them. I dreamed to finish high school and go to college to change my life for the better; to stop selling our hard work so cheap for the rich in the village. As my dreams came true, Brittany's Hope got me through high school, then college then one year studying abroad at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. Not only did I receive material support from the program, I was as well given helpful advice and life lessons throughout my teen years. Without their ongoing supports and mentoring, I would not become who I am today. I am thankful for the people that have given up their time, money and efforts working on charity projects to help children worldwide like me. I am thankful because of their impacting works that have changed a lot of people's lives, I am now inspired to help people in need and live a life that matters.
