Review for Lily Sanctuary Parrot Rescue, Fountain Valley, CA, USA
When I was thinking about adopting another parrot, I contacted Sue Bendheim at this organization. Sue talked to me at length on the phone about what kind of parrot I might be interested in and what my home situation was like. After this initial contact, Sue and another member of the organization set up a home visit and came by to see whether my family and I could provide a good forever home for a parrot. After this, Sue and I had several conversations again about what birds they had available for adoption. Finally, I made up my mind when Sue told me about a White-Capped Pionus that needed to be rehomed. Sue then met me at the parrot's owners home, helped facilitate the first meeting and had both sides of this adoption sign the necessary papers. In a little more than an hour, my daughter and I were happily driving home with "Wallace," the newest member of our flock.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
How thorough and knowledgeable they were in the parrot adoption process, from start to finish. They gave me lots of info, checked up on us afterwards, and made us feel glad we'd adopted a parrot instead of purchasing a new one.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Their friendliness, knowledge about parrots and willingness to go the extra mile to get the adoption process completed.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Exceptionally dedicated, pleasant and educated in the area of parrot rescue.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Buy a big parcel of land and build a beautiful avian sanctuary to house the many parrots that are being deserted every week and deserve a humane place to live.
