To begin, McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary stands out as the most impeccably maintained facility I have ever visited. The level of care provided to the animals is truly extraordinary, with every moment of every day dedicated to their well-being, as if they were cherished members of the McCarthy family.

Mark and Aneth McCarthy are unparalleled in their role as animal caregivers. Their commitment to the creatures in their care, though considered "wild animals," is marked by a five-star standard of treatment, encompassing top-tier nutrition, healthcare, and boundless affection. This level of dedication is not limited to specific times; it permeates every minute of every day. These individuals wholeheartedly prioritize the welfare of all the animals under their guardianship, whether they be feline, reptilian, tortoises, or feathered companions.

I can assure you that once you set foot inside this remarkable sanctuary, you will not only enjoy but also deeply appreciate everything I've described. The facility is truly exceptional, and the team of experts working there is deserving of nothing but admiration and praise.

Whether you go alone or with a large group you will be treated like you are royalty the entire time. The entire staff puts their whole heart and sole into this facility and it shows.

Where do I start. I love this place...the people, the animals, just everything. It's our escape to nature. Nestled in a residential community are the most elegant and well cared for exotic animals at the McCarthy's Sanctuary. In fact (the Owners) Aneth and Mark McCarthy have their home right in the center of this fabulous place. The guides that tour you through the Sanctuary (appx 2 hrs) are so knowledgeable about the animals and their history that it will amaze you, and most of the guides have been with the animals since their arrival. Now this is not a zoo so don't scrunch your face up. THIS is the absolute best place these big cats, reptiles, birds and other species could ever hope for. Come see for yourself just how well maintained, clean and well cared for these guys and gals are. You will be up close and personal with endangered species and other animals that you only dream about. McCarthy's are special people with amazing skills and extensive knowledge about each and every animal here. You will find that these gorgeous creatures are healthy, happy and well cared for. You might even face your fears.
