Active Minds is a life saving organization! It is empowerment and unity. Society tells us not to talk about our mental struggles, but if we struggle in silence, we lose lives. I was struggling when I found Active Minds. Suddenly, the panic attacked, the darkness that I was feeling did not feel like my problem alone! I found friends who understood me and supported me. And I was able to help others. Active Minds is amazing because it respects college students as adults. We do not require that you get treatment or put one treatment above another. We bring all the information to the table and empower students to seek help for themselves and to help others. This compassionate, hopeful, inspiring organization is a model for non profits looking to help young people change the world and change their own lives!
