Review for Ingleside Homes Inc, Wilmington, DE, USA
I lived in Ingleside homes for over a year. I am disabled. It was the worst period of my life. First, the cost for an efficiency was $1,264, which is ridiculous. That includes meals but that is an entirely different story (served cold, out of things, not getting served what you ordered, treated like a prisoner). The environment is one of total disarray. No one knows what the other person is doing on the staff. The CEO, who has an office there, stays in his office which,is remote from the residents and comes out only for lunch. I have witnessed actual physical fights in the elevators, which are broken down at least every 2 weeks if not more. The residents live in fear that if they complain, they will be thrown out-so they do not complain. There is no organization. Pets are allowed but if there is any type of problem they threaten to kick you out. That is happening to one of my friends now. She is being threatened by them that they will take her cat. We all know how an animal can help the sick and elderly. People there are too sick to be there. One resident was incontinent and relieved himself on the porch and in the elevator. Drug use is rampant with people trading medications that are schedule II. In sum, this is the worst place for anyone to live. I feel so sorry for the friends I left there. The workers should be ashamed to work there. Of course there are a few that are helpful but most are threatening. I think the state needs to come in and do something. This is a horrible place for elderly or anyone to live in. It is inhumane. Please do not send your relative there. The bed bugs alone are enough of a reason not to go. It is a disgrace to the city of Wilmington and the state of Delaware.
