My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Beachwood, OH, USA
I am composing this letter for the best animal rescue in my opinion and I'm sure many others would agree with me, "Dogs Unlimited".
Two years ago a dear friend of mine asked me to foster a dog who was found wondering the streets on the west side of town here in Cleveland. My friend volunteers for "Dogs Unlimited" and I was quick to say yes as I totally trust her judgement when it comes to dog rescues. I was involved a few years before with another rescue of which I adopted two dogs, one of which I fostered and eventually kept. My friend then started to volunteer for Dogs Unlimited and I am so grateful that she did and asked me to get involved.
The dog she asked me to foster was a Min-Pin. Now, in all honesty, I am a "big dog" lover, so this was going to be something new for me to foster a " small dog". Dogs Unlimited brought the dog to me and immediately I knew I was volunteering with a very special rescue. They stayed with me while we, Diesel and myself, became acquainted. They told me which food was best for this little guy, his vet appointments were made by them for me to take him to for his neutering, shots and just general up keep. They were not in a hurry to just dump this dog, they wanted to make sure he would be alright with me and that I was alright with him. This was so important. If I had a problem I had a number to call and they would get right back to me. They explained the process of me taking him to meet prospective adopters.
Long story short Diesel is now my third pup, just could not let this wonderful little stinker go. He is a huge part of our lives and what is great is Dogs Unlimited stays in touch with us. They are there for us 24/7 and that is what makes them so special to me. They give so much time and support always and Gina Lutes is awesome. If you have questions you get prompt answers, if your dog should happen to wander off, they are out looking for him or her right along side of you. This dog rescue is way above and beyond other rescue organizations.
