Review for Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, Inc., Miami, FL, USA
One morning my child came to me crying while holding an injured baby bird in his hands.
After a few phone calls to divers vet offices we were given the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station's phone number.
First it was reinsuring to speak with someone who took the time to listen and explain what to do with the injured animal while we had it and how to handle it before we could drop it off to the station.
Once we arrived we were warmly greeted and were explained what will be the treatment given to the bird. We received a case number which allowed us to follow up on our case and find out that he recovered well and was soon released.
But what moved me the most that was since I was with my boys who were obviously shaken by the experience, we were offered to visit the outdoor facility and explained the daily functioning of the station.
I was so impressed by the level of attention and care given to both us and the injured patient, I was inspired to apply for a volunteer position.
It is wonderful to have a place like this in Miami.
