Review for Educational Pathways International, Incline Village, NV, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My name is Isaac Amponsah, a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, pursuing a 6-year Doctor of Pharmacy programme. I am currently in my final year.

At the early stages of my junior high school education, I had a surge in my desire to pursue a career in health. My huge interest in chemistry as a subject in senior high school created in me a loving desire to pursue a career that combines health and chemistry, hence my choice of Doctor of Pharmacy. The prime reason for which I enjoy my programme is that upon graduation, it will give me the opportunity to be a member of the healthcare team, so as to put smiles on faces. Secondly, with chemistry being one of the backbones of the programme, I have enjoyed almost all my lectures from year one.

Upon graduation, I look forward to joining the few clinical Pharmacists in our country, where I can put into practice the knowledge gained throughout my study period towards providing optimal pharmaceutical care to patients at the hospital. At the same time, I would also want the community within which I live benefit from my practice, by being at the community Pharmacist where at the first point of contact, I can help provide adequate primary care to those living in my vicinity and beyond.

With my eyes currently fixed upon graduation and how I look forward to help my community and country, I am also at the same time compelled to do a quick but comprehensive retrospection of what has transpired in the past few years, and I am glad to say that, I would not have been able to come this far had it not been for Educational Pathways International (EPI), which God made them find me in the year 2016. Life was very hard for me, difficulty paying my tuition fees, difficulty paying accommodation, fees, difficulty feeding, and others. Literally, I feared I was going to drop out of school.

But from the mountaintop, Educational Pathways International (EPI) came to my rescue. EPI relieved me of my financial burdens, and rekindled my hope, just as all things were difficult before they became easier, life can also be easier for me. EPI made me believe that when I press on, one day I can also put smiles on the faces of people like me.

Apart from the financial support, EPI has also thought me great lessons that are indispensable in this world. I look at who, how and where I am today, and with a gladsome heart, all that I say is: “Thank you, Educational Pathways International! I am glad you are part of my story. Your immense support to me is very much appreciated. Thank you, EPI!”

I am Isaac Amponsah, a third year Pharm D student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, West Africa.

All phases in my academic pursuit has been very difficult in terms of my finance as my parents are not in a good financial position to fund my education as well as that of my other four siblings. After staying at home for a year upon senior high school completion, I had no hope of being in the university but here I am at last, and since then, I have been struggling to make ends meet.

I had no idea how I was going to go through this 6-year programme of study in the midst of such financial difficulties. There came Educational Pathways International (EPI). I have been an EPI Scholar not long ago (since November, 2016), but within this short while, my family is relieved and I also enjoy a peaceful mind as I now need not worry about my academic and accommodation fees – all covered by EPI as well as other expenses.

Not only that, EPI is a wonderful family that promotes social integration among all scholars and also organizes workshops and other leadership seminars for us.

I am so fortunate and glad to be a scholar of EPI and I am so grateful to the Lafrance family. I am much convinced that EPI is the best of the few organizations trying to change our world into a better place.
