Review for Arabian Rescue Mission Inc, Leitchfeild, KY, USA
Adopting a horse... ARM makes it easy.
I adopted an Arabian gelding from ARM in the Fall of 2016, which prompted me to visit the Kentucky farm twice and interact extensively on the phone with Terry and her staff responsible for the application process. I have been very impressed by this organization and how smooth the adoption process has been for me from beginning to end. ARM is a true no-nonsense rescue organization that will work with you in a very professional and collaborative manner to give you the best chance to adopt the most suitable horse for you. They will honestly disclose all they know - even if it is not much - about the horse's background, its level of training and their perception of the horse's personality, will help you arrange transportation and respond to your questions, even after the horse has left their premises. Michelle Preston, the trainer in KY, is an excellent rider and a patient and experienced trainer who ensures the horses are given the best start possible at their farm, no matter how difficult the horse and how terrible its past life may have been. She treats every horse in her herd as an individual and every horse gets some attention. Terry does not count her time when it comes to discussing horses you may be interested in, she has a deep knowledge of Arabian bloodlines and the potential future career of each of the horses on her farms. She truly works with you to make it a win-win for the horse and its future owner.
In my experience, ARM is composed of a very dedicated team of experienced and caring horse professionals and is providing a terrific service to the horse community. It deserves our respect and support.
