Review for Pace Center for Girls, Inc., Jacksonville, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

PACE is an unbelievable opportunity for young women to have a second chance at life. This center is for girls whose lives had been traveling down a very destructive path, for a variety of reasons. PACE assists the girls in understanding what has transpired in their lives to get to such a tragic state, and allows them a safe environment to work through these emotional challenges, and to rebuild their esteem and confidence. It assists them in making different choices for their future. It has them interact with community leaders and supporters to show them that many successful and happy folks had similar bumps in the road. And it keeps these young ladies out of jail, giving them the chance to become our future leaders through the academic and emotional growth facilitated by the amazing staff and teachers. I feel blessed and honored to serve this program!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

so many ways. I have been around this organization for almost 2 years, & I have experienced dozens of girls transform from very very difficult situations to positive, promising young ladies who transition back into society into positive, productive role

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the reflection it leads me to regarding my own life & choices. How I can make a difference in someones life, so immediately & effectively. The results are so huge & fast, it is amazing to watch the young women grow. It make me want to be a better person

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Kind, loving, strong, intelligent, caring, unbelievably generous and selfless, a true blessing.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Provide the staff with a competitive wage, buy a school bus with air conditioning, stop leasing their building and create a center of their own, grow in size to serve more than the 50 lucky girls it now serves in Lee County.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
