Review for Michigan Anti Cruelty Society, Detroit, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

14 years ago my wife and I attended an adoption fair in Utica for MACS. We fell in love with a black/white border collie named Bear. We decided to go home and make sure we were ready to adopt a dog. Once we had decided we were ready Bear was nowhere to be found. It turned out that Bear was with a different rescue attending that day (not with MACS). We checked dozens of shelters/rescues in Michigan, all of them having a black/white border collie named Bear. We had nearly given up hope when the managers at MACS had heard what we were going through trying to locate this dog. They were able to locate the rescue that was there that day and help us get the forms to file for the adoption. Bear is now 15 years old and still going strong.

8 years ago we moved closer to MACS and to repay them for their kindness we became active volunteers and fosters. Thank you MACS for all you do!

Review for World Animal Awareness Society, Manor, TX, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Noticed they posted some incorrect information with a video. Others commented for the same reason. They would only reply with answers like "No, we wouldn't put that". Even with copying and pasting from their own message they would admit to no wrong doing and just tried to belittle with snide comments in return. They shouldn't be telling a story if they don't want to use correct information. Zero integrity.

This is not a valid review. This review was placed here by supporters of the non profit, Michigan Anti Cruelty Society or MACS that did not like a video we posted showing the use of incinerators to get rid of un wanted dogs. MACS incinerates a great many dogs, and by the protests we filmed, nearly all the Pit Bulls that enter their 'shelter'. Our video coverage is of the protesters sharing their experiences. It can be found at the official WA2S Films YouTube Channel and is titled: "Man Brought Back to Life By Dogs Returns Favor Saving Pit Bulls From Horrific Incineration."
