Review for Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International (known as Kidpower), Santa Cruz, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have worked with this organization for fifteen years and chose to do so because it is truly makes a difference in people's lives. This is an interpersonal safety education organization that helps individuals reduce their risk of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. I began as a volunteer and have helped our Center train more than 28,500 individuals since 1994. This is an organization that values respect amongst its staff and clientele. The staff of this organization work here because they are completely committed and dedicated to its mission and that is extraordinary.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

many student's lives. We have multiple success stories of individuals who have kept themselves safe because of the skills learned in these classes. The program also helps students who have already had victimization occur in their lives.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

help increase funding so that it could be more widely accessible to individuals all over the world. Staff, who work incredibly hard and who are enormously dedicated, would be paid what they are worth with strong benefits.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the effective outcomes of the work and the incredible, dedicated staff and board of directors.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

absolutely extraordinary. They are absolutely dedicated to the mission.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand its reach so that all people, everywhere could learn skills to be confident and safe.

Ways to make it better...

we had less funding challenges to achieve or many goals and objectives.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

funding related.

One thing I'd also say is that...

it has been an honor to work with this organization.
