When I recieved my service dog Falcon I was blessed to have such a companion as him to help me through my struggles. He was there for me and has been by my side through all my pain and heartache. Though he was there to help me, I never truly found myself in this world after I left the military. I felt lost and closed from the world. Until I came to TRR. They helped me find something inside me that I lost years ago. The love and compassion for others. Even with Falcon I had a hard time loving him and getting close to him, let alone, allowing him to help me in some cases. Through TRR they showed me the doors I needed to open and go through in order to be open to the world one more time and not be afraid to be a new me.

After I left TRR to continue my career in training service dogs for disabled veterans I lost my girlfriend to a tragic car accident. I felt I got too close and shouldn't open myself up to another person again or get close to people. I refrained and remembered everything I learned from TRR and how much they helped and how hard I worked. I never wanted to be that person again, so I took a deep breath and kept pushing on.

I have to give a huge thank you to 3 specific people. First, Eva Usadi, you opened your arms and told me you loved me the first time we met. I never replied and was confused on how someone could love me when they don't even know me, let alone be there for me. You showed me that you cared and no matter what were going to be there for me. I can never repay the help you gave me and other veterans! You are a true inspiration to us all and I am beyond humble to call you my friend. Second, Renata, you were beyond the best help I could've recieved while at TRR in Utah. You truly guided me to a new me and showed me a future me that I was excited to be. Thank you so much! Third, all the veterans and staff at TRR, you all hold a special place in my heart that I truly am thankful for. Thank you so much for being my friends and spending your own time and money in caring for us veterans when no one will help us.

To future veterans, you find yourself lost or feel forgotten. Go to TRR! They will show you love and compassion toward you and show you a path that you never saw was there. Eva will never give up on you, just give it a try! Oh, and the horses are awesome too make sure to give them extra love for me!

I was in a very dark and angry place prior to attending the program. During the program I found a piece of me that I forgot was still there and am completely grateful to the hard work the staff did just to help me become a better person. Love is what I lost but now I have it back and use it daily to anyone I meet.
