They do so not as outside critics but as shareholder-representatives who collectively have an affirmative basis to benefit from the outcome. And they work without the fanfare that is often associated with social change. Ceres sets the standard for allowing both institutional and retail investors the luxury of sleeping at night, knowing their invested dollars are working to promote sustainable business solutions, fight climate change, and control pollution, and that this is being done around the clock, on evenings, weekends, and the Forth of July.
